STEVIE Adopted June 18, 2022 "Fia is a great dog matchmaker. About a year ago we adopted Stevie. We found him on next door and although he took a little work since he was around 4 and never had a forever home he is now a perfect family member with our other dog. Wish we could adopt more but 2 is our limit in order to give max love to each. Thanks Fia for bringing Stevie to our lives." - Marci

PAWPAW Adopted Dec 26, 2021 "I was looking for an approx. 6 year old dog when I saw PawPaw on an adoption site. His background is heartbreaking but yet he had the biggest smile, so I contacted Fia despite PawPaw being 11 years old. I instantly felt a connection when I met him but Fia generously offered me a week tryout. However, I called her the next day telling her he is staying, I just knew he was my perfect match. I got him during Covid where I felt isolated, and from day one he basically started teaching me how to love again. Everyone tells me what a nice person I am adopting an old dog, but I am the one being lucky. PawPaw was mistreated by his first owner, and it would have been understandable if he would be suspicious to people. But for some reason he just love all humans, his tail is wagging every time he sees a person, he is “let’s talk, I have so much love for everyone”. And he has, so now he is visiting my disabled neighbor Sheri three days a week. Sheri loves the company, and he loves the attention he is getting from her, she is spoiling him rotten :). He is 13 years now, and even though he is slowing down he is as happy go lucky as ever. Show him some love, and you get it back 10-fold." - Frank

ROCKY Adopted Sept 27, 2020 "Some of the most happy, loving, and grateful dogs have the most heartbreaking beginnings of their life, and that is the case for this gorgeous boy, Rocky. Rocky’s story began in hot Louisiana, separated outside with minimal human interaction, life threatening heart worms, and was severely underweight. His life didn’t seem to be cared about by anyone even so much that his owners were planned to end his life if they couldn’t get rid of him. Luckily, his story wasn’t over. Through a couple Facebook clicks and a kind hearted woman willing to give him a second chance, Rocky now has the best life any dog could ever have. Homemade dog food, a clean bill of health, a precious puppy sister to spend his days with, a warm welcoming home in the beautiful North Carolina mountains, and more love than any dog could ever dream of.
